Santa Clarita bail bonding officials recently discussed what happens when a defendant gets released from jail and explained what to do and what not to do in order to stay out of trouble, highlighting the importance of appearing at all court dates.
The experts at All American Bail Bonds in Santa Clarita will help post a defendant’s bail, get them released from jail quickly, and offer advice on what to do, but then it’s up to the defendant to stay out of trouble.
“We know the process, and we’re available 24/7 to help explain everything that is happening, post bond for you and have you released as soon as possible after being arrested,” said Inessa Chavez, vice president of All American Bail Bonds in Santa Clarita.

The bail bonding company will explain to the defendant when the dates are and help explain the process of what might happen next.
“After being released, the defendant must be present for all court proceedings and must also meet any other conditions that the bail agent might set,” said Chavez. “One of the worst things a defendant can do is fail to appear in court.”

If this happens, the court will forfeit the bail and a warrant will be issued for the person’s arrest. It is then the responsibility of the bail bonding company to locate the defendant and bring them back into custody.
If the defendant appears at all hearings — including their judgment day — and follows all court orders, the bond will be exonerated when the trial is over and all conditions are met.
